Stage Two
The 2 sheets are positioned next to each other on polythene; they are then sprayed with water. A second sheet of polythene is placed over the top and then the surface is sponged to wash out surface dirt.

We then calculate the surface area that needs to be filled plus a little extra for a border. The paper required to make up the pulp is weighed out so that we have exactly the right amount – the pulp is mixed in an ordinary household liquidiser and is made up of tap water, 15% DoverLinks to glossary - opens in a new window, 70% cotton and 15% flax paper - contributing different properties such as strength and colour.
