Register which provides personal and service details, and places of
commemoration for those who died whilst serving with Commonwealth forces
during the First and Second World Wars.

people who were in the armed forces, who won medals or who resigned
their commission and also those who changed their names by deed poll
and who became naturalised.
- Naval biographical online database

This project aims to establish accurate biographical information
on those associated with the Royal Navy since 1660. The focus is on
individuals but there is also a thorough listing of ships, including
many vessels previously unrecorded in the standard references.
The first 150,000 of a projected 50 million entries have been processed
to date - there is a Naval biographical progress
page for current coverage

the Naval biographical database by name of person, ship or place for free but there is
